One of our Homeowners called Ada County Highway District to find out why they put the 3 way stop at the intersection of Saguaro Hills & Segundo. They have been placed due to the construction work in widening the intersection of Locust Grove & McMillan. Once that project is finish, which is suppose to be this fall, the stop signs will be removed.
DON'T get rid of the stop signs!! I'm amazed at the large number of reckless drivers in our subdivision that speed down Saguaro Hills Ave. each and every morning during the week. We've watched a number of drivers blow right through stop signs at Red Horse and Joshua Tree and through the new stop signs too. People easily speed 15-25 MPH over the posted 25MPH speed limit. And all this happens in the morning when small children are walking to school. Less stop signs are certainly not the answer - we actually need more speed restrictions to protect everyone. Maybe you don't care about the children and peole who live in Saguaro Canyon, but I do. I've already contacted the Meridian PD and if you've noticed they have been frequenting our neighborhood a bit more. More and more of our neighbors have noticed the same thing and have contacted the MPD too.
